Start with the written repair clause

Ask where and how repairs would be arranged. Do not assume every comprehensive policy includes agency repairs or every workshop option has identical terms. Check eligibility for your vehicle, its age and declared use, including any applicable limits or conditions.

Ask about networks and parts

For workshop repairs, ask how the workshop is selected, available locations and approval procedures. Check parts and repair-guarantee terms as written in the policy and applicable arrangement. A workshop name alone does not explain the process for every claim.

Compare excess and cost with the option

Ask whether the repair option affects the premium or excess. Two quotations may not be equivalent if they use different repair arrangements. Place the option, price and excess side by side and list unresolved questions before acceptance.

Keep written clarification

Ask the licensed provider whether the option applies to your car, who authorises repairs and which documents and contact channels are needed. Retain the quotation, policy and answers. This checklist does not guarantee a repair approval, a particular parts type or access to a named workshop.
