Premium is only part of the comparison

Premium is the cost of obtaining the policy. Using healthcare may involve a member share or deductible under plan terms. Read the benefit schedule to establish what you pay and when, including different limits for medicines or other services, rather than comparing premium alone.

Ask how the terms apply to your offer

A deductible may be a specified contribution before cover contributes under a clause; a copay or coinsurance may be a fixed amount or percentage for a service. Ask the provider to explain the calculation basis, order, caps and exceptions. Do not assume identical terms work identically in every offer.

An illustrative calculation, not an available plan

For a 20% member share of an eligible AED 200 amount, the arithmetic is AED 40 before other conditions. A different eligible amount, cap or deductible can change the result. Use this example only to understand arithmetic and request a calculation matching your actual offer.

Annual and benefit-specific limits

Review the annual limit, sublimits, exclusions and approval conditions. A high limit does not establish cover for every treatment or expense. List unclear clauses and request the licensed provider’s schedule and conditions before acceptance. This explanation does not determine cover for a particular medical case.
